My two-part feature on Derek Webb is live at IMAGE Journal’s blog. I interviewed him in person on October 20th in Leawood, Kansas, and it was one of the highlights of my year.

I worked hard on these pieces, and I hope it shows. Over 1,300 people have already shared the first part of the article, and it’s only been online since yesterday. This makes it my most popular published piece of writing ever, which is exciting for me.

In addition to being a notable singer-songwriter, Webb is the founder of NoiseTrade.com. That being the case, I have linked to plenty of free music in each of the posts. One thing I did not link to, however, is the free album’s worth of songs from Sufjan Stevens’ recent five-disc Christmas opus, Silver and Gold. It is available at NoiseTrade now.
