The scene:  Last Friday night.

Chad says to Becki, ”I want candy.”

Becki says, “You don’t need that.”

Chad mopes anyway.

Becki drives Chad to Walgreen’s.

On a whim Chad buys not one small item of candy, but the veritable mother lode: A Hindenburg-sized bag of Lemonheads & Friends Halloween candy.  $6 retail USD.

That bag is now empty, except for a few Cherryheads boxes that ended up in the trash because I do not like those.

The result:  Chad is in a semi-permanent sugar coma.
